Who Has Access to Your OnlyFans? A Creator Security Audit

Worked with an OnlyFans agency or assistant? Review account access, recovery settings, connected services and passwords with this security checklist.

Who Has Access to Your OnlyFans? A Creator Security Audit

You've worked with an OnlyFans agency, chatters, assistants, or collaborators. Maybe you still do. But do you know exactly who has access to your account right now? Who can log in, post content, read messages, or change settings? If you can't answer that confidently, it's time for a security audit. Here's how to review and lock down your account access.

Why Previous Collaborators May Still Have Access

When you stop working with someone, access doesn't automatically disappear. If you shared your password, they can still log in unless you change it. If they set up your account with their email, they control password recovery. If they have admin permissions through OnlyFans team features, those stay active until you revoke them.

Many creators assume that ending a business relationship means losing access, but that's not how digital accounts work. You have to actively remove access, and if you don't, old collaborators, agencies, or assistants may still be able to see and control your account months or even years later.

Review Account Recovery and Login Security

Start by checking the most critical access points: your email, password, and authentication settings.

Email and Password Ownership

Log into your OnlyFans account and check the settings. What email address is registered? Do you control that inbox, or was it set up by someone else? If you don't have access to the registered email, you're vulnerable. Anyone who controls that email can reset your password and lock you out.

If the email isn't yours, request a change through OnlyFans support immediately. You'll need to verify your identity, but once it's updated, you'll have full recovery control.

Next, change your password. Even if you trust the people who previously had it, it's good security practice to rotate passwords regularly. Use a strong, unique password and store it in a password manager, not a shared document or text file.

Two-Factor Authentication and Sessions

Check if two factor authentication is enabled. If it is, where are the codes being sent? If they're going to someone else's phone, they can intercept login attempts and maintain access even if you change your password.

Update two factor authentication to use your personal phone number or authentication app. This ensures that only you can approve new login attempts.

Also review active sessions. OnlyFans and most platforms let you see where your account is currently logged in. If you see devices or locations you don't recognize, log them out immediately and change your password.

Audit Connected Social and Business Accounts

Your OnlyFans account doesn't exist in isolation. You likely have connected social media, scheduling tools, payment processors, and content storage services. All of these need to be audited too.

Social Media Administrators

If an agency or assistant was managing your promotional accounts on Instagram, Twitter, Reddit, or TikTok, check who has admin access. Most platforms let you see a list of accounts with permission to post, edit, or manage your page.

Remove anyone who no longer needs access. If you ended a working relationship months ago but they're still listed as an admin, they can still post, delete content, or change settings without your knowledge.

Shared Drives, Content Libraries and Scheduling Tools

Do you use Google Drive, Dropbox, or cloud storage to share content with collaborators? Check the sharing settings. Who has access to your folders? Can they view, download, or edit your files?

If you use scheduling tools like Buffer, Hootsuite, or Later for social media management, check who has login access. If an old assistant or agency still has credentials, they could schedule posts on your behalf without your approval.

Also audit payment processors. If an agency set up your Stripe, PayPal, or bank connections, make sure they don't still have admin access to those accounts. You don't want someone else controlling where your money goes.

Create an Account Access Register

Once you've completed your audit, create a simple document listing every account and service related to your OnlyFans business. For each one, note:

  • The login email and whether you control it
  • Whether the password is unique and stored securely
  • Who currently has access, admin permissions, or login credentials
  • When you last reviewed and updated access permissions

This register becomes your security reference. Review it every few months, especially if you start or end working relationships. Keeping it updated ensures you always know who has access and can revoke it quickly if needed.

What to Do When Access Cannot Be Independently Revoked

Sometimes you'll discover that you can't remove access on your own. For example, if your OnlyFans account email is controlled by someone else and they refuse to hand it over, you'll need to escalate.

Start by contacting the platform's support team. Explain the situation, provide proof of identity and account ownership, and request that they help you regain control. Most platforms take these requests seriously, especially if you can demonstrate that you're the legitimate account owner.

If the situation involves a former agency or business partner, review your contract. Does it specify who owns account access and how handovers should be managed? If they're withholding access in violation of your agreement, you may have legal recourse.

In extreme cases where you can't regain control, you may need to abandon the compromised account and start fresh. It's painful, but it's better than allowing someone else to maintain permanent access to your business.

Your OnlyFans account is your livelihood. Treat it with the same security you'd give a bank account. Know who has access, review permissions regularly, and never let anyone maintain control they no longer need. A quick audit now can prevent a security disaster later.
